To celebrate its 50th birthday Abbey Singers have invited the Cumbrian-based composer Adrian Self (pictured, right) to set Robert Southey's poem The Cataract of Lodore for mixed choir, children's choir, piano and percussion. The programme will also feature Hiawatha's Wedding Feast by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor who died in 1912. Thus the
